One of the questions we get asked the most is what should we expect on our wedding day, so we’ve put together this little guide, so you know what you can expect from a photography point of view.

Pre Wedding Shoot

Currently in all our packages we offer a pre wedding shoot, these are perfect for us to get to know each other and trust us this helps you to get more comfortable being in front of the camera and makes you feel more relaxed on your wedding day. During the shoot we’ll find out which poses naturally work best for you and you’ll have the practical knowledge of how to look your best on your wedding photographs. Plus what better way to spend an hour of your time then chatting to, laughing with, hugging and kissing your partner! After your pre wedding shoot you’ll be even more excited about your wedding day!

Your Wedding Day

On your wedding morning, we arrive for bridal prep approximately 2 hours before your wedding ceremony, this allows us to photograph your hair & make-up being finished, and also photograph your detail shots, such as your dress, shoes & flowers. We always try and advise you to get ready a bit earlier so then we can capture some stunning bridal portraits of you, we’ll also capture you with your bridesmaids just before you become a Mrs! Our favourite part of bridal prep is capturing your dad's reaction when he sees you in your dress for the first time, this is always an emotional moment and quite often there's not a dry eye in the room!

Just before your ceremony we’ll leave you and your bridesmaids to have a few moments to yourselves and we’ll grab a few photographs of your future husband with his groomsmen.

Now it's time to say 'I Do' and become Mr & Mrs! During your ceremony Laura stands at the front and Jonathan stands at the back to capture your groom's reaction, this is another very emotional moment and is normally one of the photographs our brides treasure the most.

After your wedding ceremony, we’ll let you have a bit of time to have a drink and to let your guests congratulate you, this is the prefect time for us to capture natural, candid moments. Once you’re ready, we’ll start your group photos.

On your wedding day we'll have a printed list of your group shots (we ask you for this before your wedding day) we normally give this to someone in your bridal party to help gather guests as this speeds up doing your group shots and gives you more time to spent with your guests

After your group shots, if you're up for it we capture a few bride & groom shots while it's light outside, but don't worry we don’t like to keep you away from your guests for too long

Your speeches are a great opportunity for some amazing photographs, we love capturing all the different emotions, whether it's uncontrollable laughter, embarrassment or a tear or two!

Depending on the time of year, either after your meal or after your first dance, we'll ask you if you'd like a few more bride & groom photographs, this is the time we can get creative with our lights and create some amazing photographs for you!

Then it's time to get the party started! After capturing your first dance, we’ll say goodbye for the evening and let you dance the night away!
